Attention Runners: St. Louis is coming!!
It’s time to get the blood flowing and fire up the metabolism once again! For those of you who braved the elements running for Mercy in 2009, you should be mighty proud! It’s time, once again, to lace up your running shoes and start training because if you can run two miles, you can run a marathon in 2010!

Let’s go to the GO! St. Louis Marathon and Half-Marathon coming up on April 11th, 2010. It’s only three months away and runners will need to register at both www.gostlouis.org and www.runformercy.org/stlouis_marathon_2010. This year’s race will take us through beautiful downtown St. Louis and our Mercy team will both run and walk the course! Runners have to be 18 years of age on race day to compete in the full marathon, but 14 years of age to compete in the half-marathon. You will also receive a Run for Mercy shirt and goody bag on race day!

And don’t forget the pre-race Pasta Party the night before the race at the St. Louis Mercy Home. We will dine together with the residents and hear some inspiring testimonies from graduates. You will also be able to tour the home! Get ready to work it out because the St. Louis Mercy residents are ready to cheer you on to the finish line!

For any questions about running for Mercy in ST. LOUIS, please email Julianne at jfogt@mercyministries.com. Remember, you can also sign up as a virtual runner!

It’s that time of year again…
Happy new year everyone! We are excited about a brand new year to RUN FOR MERCY in many different locations across the country. You can RUN FOR MERCY in a marathon or 5K—so keep an eye on www.runformercy.org for upcoming races near you. Be sure to check out our new Run for Mercy video to find out more about some of our upcoming 5Ks that will be announced later on this year.In the meantime, it’s that time of year again in NASHVILLE…time to start training for the Country Music Marathon & Half Marathon!!! With the race being three months away, there is no time like the present to dust off your running shoes, make a fun playlist for your iPod and start training! We have a team from Mercy Ministries that will run and walk in the marathon and half marathon. If you want to support the team but won’t be able to make it on Saturday, April 24th or running just isn’t your thing—then you can sign up as a virtual runner!

On Friday, April 23rd—the night before the race—we will have a Pasta Party at the Nashville Mercy Home where you can come enjoy dinner with the residents, hear a graduate share her testimony and tour the home. We’d love to have you run, walk or virtually run for Mercy Ministries in this year’s Country Music Marathon and Half Marathon. For any questions, please email nashville@mercyministries.com
